A message from Sophie Zytke owner of The Larch Barn Café and Plant Centre.

The health and safety of not just our customers but also our team, has and always will be, a priority at The Larch Barn Cafe. We are therefore committed to ensure that the strictest health and safety measures are put in place and will continue to uphold the highest standards of hygiene throughout our Cafe.

We strictly adhere to the advice and updates from Public Health England and the Government and will uphold all new measures within our establishment. This includes the rule of 6 as well as the wearing of masks throughout.

These are challenging times and we’re working tirelessly behind the scenes so that you feel confident and safe when coming to visit us.

I’d like to thank you for your continued support during these difficult months and look forward to welcoming you very soon.

Further Updates and Information:

In accordance with UK law and to ensure social distancing, no parties of more than 6 people may enter The Larch Barn at any one time and we cannot take bookings of more than 6, to clarify children and babies are included in this 6. We will continue to review this in accordance with government guidance and legislation.

We also ask that when inside our restaurant and not seated at your table, a mask is worn as per the new guidelines for hospitality venues. This includes arrival, visiting the toilets and when leaving.

We ask all of our guests to use the hand sanitiser provided upon entering and to observe social distancing guidelines. Please wait at our ‘Wait here to be seated signs’ and a member of staff will take you to a table, showing you our delicious cake selection on the way. We will then return to take your order. While you wait if you have the NHS track and trace app please check yourself in to The Larch Barn.

Inside we have reduced table numbers to ensure correct social distancing and invested in discrete protective partitions, situated between tables. We ask you to please wear masks when visiting the toilets and we have provided sanitising spray and blue roll for you to sanitise the facilities before you use them. But please know our toilets are cleaned regularly throughout the day to minimise risk.

Our team has received specific Covid-19 training and wear masks throughout the cafe, both inside and outside. They have access to handwashing facilities and are encouraged to wash their hands thoroughly and regularly.

Finally, we kindly ask all customers to comply with the new Government NHS Track and Trace scheme and if you have displayed any COVID-19 symptoms in the past seven days or still have any symptoms or have come into close contact with someone displaying these symptoms within the past 14 days, to refrain from visiting us at this time.
